Beverly's Bio
Beverly oversees the Case Management and Senior Services departments which provide valuable programs for older adults as well as referrals and information for those needing to connect with community resources. After receiving her MSW from the University of Maryland, Beverly worked with a diverse clientele at JFCS of the Suncoast in Sarasota, FL for twenty years as a Senior Clinician and Director of Jewish Programs. She was also involved in a research protocol, conducted through New York University’s Memory Clinic, involving dementia patients and their caregivers.

Shirley Bellardo, LCSW, LCADC joined JFCS in 2018 in the role of Director of Clinical Services. Prior to that she worked for a community social service agency for more than 20 years. When Shirley was offered employment at JFCS she did not hesitate to accept as she knew the mission and values of the Agency aligned with her own. Shirley has over 25 years of experience helping individuals and families struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions and addictions. She shares this experience with the clinical staff through supervision and clinical case conferences. Shirley is a member of the Mercer County Traumatic Loss Coalition and Professional Advisory Meeting.

Mobile Pantry Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Supports unloading and stocking of weekly product deliveries
- Ensure proper handling and refrigeration of perishable items
- Helps weekly volunteers by making items accessible for packing, restocking items, clearing out and disposing of empty boxes
- Maintain cleanliness & organization of the food pantry including, not limited to, organizing inventory, breaking down and recycling boxes, cleaning spills, keeping walkway clear
- Drive truck (a 14-foot step van) and van (sprinter van) to scheduled Mercer County locations:
- Monthly supply pickup from Mercer Street Friends
- Mobile distributions each month, as assigned
- Scheduled recurring maintenance
- When needed for donation pickups
- When needed for special/community events
- When needed to cover for Pantry Coordinator
- Assist clients and volunteers at distribution sites
- Prepares bins of bags for distribution
- Assists in loading mobile vehicles for distribution, working efficiently and safely with volunteers
- Manages rotation of sponsor magnets on vehicles
- Manages tracking sheet for mobile delivery data
- Sort donated food items, checking for Kosher symbols, expiration dates and damage
- Maintain cleanliness of mobile pantry vehicles, inside & outside
Available as needed for the following:
- Packs bags for distribution
- Weekly inventory of pantry supplies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to frequently lift 25-50 pounds, as well as transport more pounds via hand truck and wheeled bins.
- Valid driver’s license (non-commercial is acceptable), driving at least 1 year
- Good driving record and the ability to exercise good judgment
- Continual awareness of safety (at the office, while driving, for the volunteers, coworkers and clients).
- Ability to work outside and in all kinds of weather conditions.
- Ability to work well with others and individually. Ability to provide directions.
- Self-motivated to manage assigned tasks.
- Criminal background check and references will be required
Part-Time, up to 25 hours/week

Kosher Cafe Assistant
Help provide services at the Kosher Café Senior Nutrition Site at Adath Israel Congregation, Lawrenceville.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Kosher Cafe Coordinator.
- Set up, package food/drinks to Kosher Café participants and clean up the kitchen following the program.
- Maintain site according to Mercer County Department of Human Services standards for nutrition sites.
- Engage with Café participants.
Qualifications:
- High school degree
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff and other individuals, agencies and institutions in the community.
Hours: Tuesday – Friday; 10:30 am – 12:45 pm

• Collect, assess and evaluate information about the client’s situation and presenting symptoms
• Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidenced based; crisis intervention and stabilization
• Make appropriate referrals and assist with linkage to services
• Coordinate the development and implementation of the treatment plan, comprehensive assessments, discharge plans within established time frames.
• Monitor progress towards treatment goals by evaluating and adjusting services provided
• Experience with the DSM5 and ICD10 for psychiatric diagnosis
• Facilitate individual, family and group counseling sessions
• Educate family members by advising on the most appropriate and helpful roles they can fulfill in the treatment process
• Complete clinical documentation in an accurate, timely manner
• Participate in weekly case conferences and scheduled clinical and staff meetings
• Ability to maintain confidential information within HIPAA guidelines and Agency policies
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Must have a current active clinical license to practice; LCSW or LPC
• Must have the ability to obtain clearances as defined by Agency policies

P/T Social Work/Case Manager
This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of preschool children experiencing social-emotional challenges, developing individualized service plans, coordinating with families and other professionals, and advocating for the needs of young children to promote their development and wellbeing within a preschool setting, working part-time hours to manage a caseload of children requiring support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Needs Assessment:
Conduct thorough evaluations of preschool children to identify potential developmental delays, social-emotional difficulties, and family challenges impacting the child’s learning and behavior.
- Service Plan Development:
Create individualized service plans based on assessment findings, outlining specific goals, interventions, and strategies to address each child’s unique needs.
- Family Engagement:
Establish strong relationships with parents/guardians, provide education on child development, and actively involve them in the service plan implementation and progress monitoring.
- Intervention Delivery:
Implement evidence-based interventions within the preschool setting, such as play therapy, behavior management techniques, and social skills development activities.
- Collaboration:
Work closely with preschool teachers, administrators, therapists, and other professionals to coordinate services and ensure a cohesive approach to supporting children.
- Advocacy:
Advocate for children’s needs to access necessary resources and support services, including community agencies or specialized programs.
- Documentation:
Maintain detailed case records, progress notes, and reports documenting interventions, family interactions, and child development milestones.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child Development, or related field
- Experience working with young children in a preschool setting preferred
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices for addressing social-emotional challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
- Familiarity with relevant child welfare laws, regulations, and community resources
Desired Skills:
- Experience in crisis intervention and managing challenging behaviors
- Ability to effectively facilitate group activities and provide individual support to children
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage a caseload effectively
- Bilingual skills may be beneficial depending on the community served
