Our programs address food insecurity by providing accessible, nutritious foods via our mobile and onsite food pantries and distribution programs.
Food Pantry Program
About Our Pantry
Our on-site pantry is open twice a week for scheduled pickups, by appointment only. Clients are able to visit every other week to receive a bag of groceries.
The JFCS Mobile Food Pantry makes 30+ monthly distributions to established partners across the Greater Mercer Community. Distributions are only open to affiliated residents/congregants/members of those partner locations.
Who We Serve
If you are hungry…you are welcome. Our on-site and mobile pantry services are available to the entire community, regardless of background. Basic contact and household makeup information is all that is required to ensure we can connect with our clients and better understand those we serve.
Healthy Foods for All
We provide our clients with prepared bags of food that include non-perishable staples AND fresh produce, eggs, and meat options. All pantry offerings are Kosher, but clients do not need to observe Kosher to receive our pantry food.

Senior Nutrition Services
Kosher Café
The Kosher Cafe is a designated nutrition site, supported by the Mercer County Office on Aging. The program is designed for low-income seniors (age 60 and over) who would benefit from a complimentary, hot and nutritious lunch. The cafes are open to all, regardless of need or background, and donations are accepted.
Every Tuesday – Friday from 11 AM – 1 PM
Congregation Adath Israel, Lawrenceville
To learn more, contact Debi Henritzy, Kosher Café Coordinator, by email or phone 609-987-8100.
Kosher Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is an incredible resource to aging adults who need the accessibility and nutritional resource; however, older Jewish adults could not turn to Meals on Wheels if they wished to maintain a Kosher diet. Kosher Meals on Wheels (KMOW) fills that gap and allows Jewish seniors to maintain their traditions, bringing a sense of comfort as they age.
JFCS delivers Kosher Meals on Wheels to Jewish seniors in West Windsor, East Windsor, Hightstown, Hamilton, Princeton and Plainsboro, and coordainates with our partner Greenwood House to deliver in Ewing and Lawrenceville (alternate delivery schedule).
Deliveries of hot, Kosher meals are made twice a week by JFCS. Meals are $25 per week and some scholarships are available.

Shabbat on Wheels
The Shabbat on Wheels service delivers a full shabbat dinner to local Jewish seniors once a month. Recipients are grateful for this service which allows them to enjoy a traditional meal for the first time in years.
