Kosher Café East
Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 12:30 p.m.
Beth El Synagogue (50 Maple Stream Road, East Windsor)

From the shtetls of Eastern Europe, to the fun of Second Avenue’s Yiddish theatre and to the glitter of the Broadway musical, get ready for an entertaining afternoon as Naomi Miller brings her energy, wit, charm, musicianship and great voice to the Kosher Café at Beth El Synagogue. Klezmer music had a huge influence on the songwriters, jazz musicians, vaudeville performers, cabaret singers, and Broadway and movie musicals that later evolved.  “From Klezmer to Broadway” mixes all those styles together and then adds yet another twist.  Since Naomi began her career in the international cafes of Greenwich Village and since Broadway shows are performed the world over, Naomi often intermingles her Broadway numbers with smatterings of other languages.

A kosher lunch will be served and pre-registration is required by 10/9.  Please RSVP to Beth Englezos at bethe@jfcsonline.org or 609-987-8100, ext. 126.  The program is open to all and there is a suggested donation of $5.00 per person.
