Life & Legacy Testimonials

“I met the Jewish Family & Children’s Service staff quite a while ago when we formed Project S.A.R.A.H. (Stop Abusive Relationships At Home). I worked with some of the staff at older adult programs and in the Kosher Food Pantry, and I joined Secure@Home when my husband became ill. I really have seen the staff in action. They are all so truly dedicated to the people they serve.

I really cannot imagine Mercer County without the agency. I have seen how so many people are being helped by JFCS, some of whom are dealing with very desperate situations.

I have JFCS in my will so that I can feel I am doing my part in assuring its future”.

“Since 1937, JFCS has provided a critical safety net for the most vulnerable members of our community – providing food for the hungry, counseling, and other support services for our neighbors encountering a difficult period in their lives, such as a job loss or the serious illness or death of a spouse, parent or child.

We’ve been proud supporters of JFCS of Greater Mercer County for about twelve years. We believe that just as others in our community provided support for JFCS decades ago, so the Agency would be here today as an integral part of our caring community, it’s incumbent on us to provide resources for the Agency to continue its vital work for decades to come. The Life & Legacy initiative gave us the perfect vehicle to accomplish this. A wonderful side benefit is that we have the opportunity to demonstrate to our adult children the importance of giving back to the community and Tikun Olam (repairing the world).

Life & Legacy is an easy way to perpetuate our values beyond our lifetime and support the JFCS programs and services that are so important to us. Furthermore, the Life & Legacy initiative requires no financial commitment from us until we no longer need our money for living expenses.

We hope that our participation in Life & Legacy will also help the Agency develop a culture of planned giving. By participating in Life & Legacy, we have the comfort of knowing that we are helping JFCS to be financially sound for the long-term. We hope others will join us in this endeavor.”
