Description: When the Gold family first started grinding horseradish roots into gourmet horseradish in 1932, the first jars were hand labeled and distributed to New York’s finest delis. Now their products include mustard, soups and sauces and are available across the U.S. After 44 years of crying, Marc Gold and his two partners sold the business in 2015. Hear the story of building the business from Marc, grandson of founder Hyman Gold. A kosher lunch will be served and there is a suggested donation of $5.00 per person.

Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County will launch a new Jewish Bereavement Group for Jewish adults who have lost a spouse or a partner within the last 18 months. Facilitated by Chaplain Beverly Rubman, this is a weekly group in which members will converse openly and support one another through the grief process.

Through the stories of seven patients and seven very different end-of-life experiences, he demonstrates that what people who are approaching the end of their lives need most is not new technologies but one simple thing: The Conversation. He argues for a radical re-envisioning of the patient-doctor relationship and offers ways to talk about this difficult issue to ensure that patients will be at the center and in charge of their medical care. This might be the most important conversation you ever have. Discussion is led by Rabbi Adena Blum. A kosher lunch will be served.
